On 24th January 1993, at St Andrew's parish church, East Hagbourne, the following Declaration of Intent was made by the churches of Didcot and district listed below: "As members of the Christian Church in Didcot and district, serving one heavenly Father, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ our Saviour, and recognising our diversity, we pledge ourselves to grow together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that we are being led to a deeper fellowship in worship, witness and service and seek to respond in a spirit of faith, sacrifice and commitment."


All Saints, Didcot;
Didcot Baptist Church;
Didcot Methodist Church;
English Martyrs Church, Didcot;
Ladygrove Church, Didcot;
St Andrew's Church, East Hagbourne;
St Peter's Church, Didcot.

A constitution was later drawn up and signed on 4th June 1995 by all the founding churches above, as well as All Saint's Church, Chilton and St Matthew's Church, Harwell. The following aims were included in the constitution:

AIMS


The aims of Churches Together in Didcot and District shall be:
(i) to facilitate common witness to Christ by the member churches;
(ii) to work and pray for Christian unity;
(iii) to provide means of consultation between the churches.

Subsequent members include The King's Church, Didcot Community Church, Aston Tirrold United Reformed Church and the Ridgeway Church.

Churches Together in Didcot and District is associated with Churches Together in Oxfordshire and Churches Together in England.
